During the over 4-year existence of this blog I have always indicated in my recipes’ narrative introductions whether or not they were suitable for the first 2-week INDUCTION phase of Atkins. Not until the blog was 2 years in with over 500 recipes published, did one user ask me if she could just view Induction Friendly recipes. Why didn’t that occur to me when I set up the blog? Hindsight is always 20/20, isn’t it?
The task was not impossible, but it would be daunting, having to go back in and tag (then) 500+ recipes as “Induction Friendly” via actual WordPress tags. I just kept putting that project off. Well 2 years have lapsed and I don’t have too many “to do” items on my agenda this week. So I bit the bullet and over the past 2 days, finally tackled that project. Better late than never. Took me about 7 man hours to pull up and tag all 700 recipes. But I know my readers are worth it! :) After all, my website exists solely to share my recipes and make your weight-loss efforts easier and tastier.
So I’d like to announce the new INDUCTION RECIPES link in the right-hand margin. When you click that link, WordPress will list out only those recipes (around 300) I have tagged as Induction Friendly. Unfortunately there’s no way for me to group them into main dishes, sides, desserts, etc. within that list. But at least you can now browse JUST those recipes that work during Induction. No longer must you open up and read the entire recipe narrative to find out if a recipe is suitable for Induction or “taboo” until later on. I do hope this helps those just starting out on their Atkins, other low-carb, Keto, Primal or Paleo journeys to better health.
